Certified Coaches

The BHNZ Coaching Certification Programme has been developing coaching talent in New Zealand since 2016 and draws on members of BHNZ who are already experienced and successful with a wide range of barbershop skills and knowledge of the craft. In 2018, after a concentrated 2-year programme, the BHNZ Education Team graduated four new coaches at Harmony Education Aotearoa in Hamilton and Christchurch:

Book A BHNZ CERTIFIED COACH

Coaches can be booked directly by choruses, quartets, ensembles, and individuals with the following suggested fees (to be negotiated and agreed upon directly with coaches):

It is expected that the hosts will cover all associated travel costs including transfers and airport parking if applicable, accommodation, and meal expenses.

Guidelines for fees:
  • evening - $150
  • half day - $150
  • whole day - $250
  • day and half - $350
  • PVI - $20 for 20-30mins
  • Quartets - to be negotiated ($40-60 per hour)

Please note that on occasions, a Coaching Candidate may accompany a Certified Coach for training purposes. All costs of that candidate would be covered by BHNZ. The Candidate would be expected to lead at least several short sessions such as warm-up routines and other specific teaching exercises as agreed with the coach, and would be available to give PVIs and coach quartets at no extra cost.
